The Sands offers a choice of two bedroom, or two-bedroom with a flexible third room apartments, many with stunning sea views. Whether you like to entertain, or simply enjoy your own space, you’ll love the flexibility and open-plan living at The Sands. Every apartment is as functional as it is beautiful – with quality fittings that add that touch of luxury, as well as generous rooms and storage space. Relish the peace and comfort all year round with mod-cons including double glazing, heat pump, heated towel rails and a high level of sound proofing between apartments.

Care Suite for Rest Home and Hospital Care

Care Suites provide both Rest Home and Hospital level care, which means you can relax knowing you won’t have the upheaval of moving again if your needs increase. Choose from either a studio Care Suite with an open-plan bedroom and lounge, or a one-bedroom Care Suite with a separate bedroom and living area. Some Care Suites are large enough to accommodate couples, so you can be together – even if one of you requires Hospital level care.

All Care Suites have a heat pump and full en-suite bathroom, as well as a kitchenette with a fridge. We also have options with private balconies and/or patios.

You own the right to occupy your Care Suite, so you can personalise it with your favourite furniture and treasured pieces. A Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora assessment is not required for care that is paid for privately.

Food

Tender Sunday roasts, hot fish and chips and delicious homemade puddings…all are regular features on our menu, which is packed with tasty classics you’d make at home. Don’t fancy what’s on offer? Have a chat to our friendly chef and kitchen team, so we can understand your needs. Good food is best shared, and family and friends are welcome to come dine with you. Enjoy a barista coffee and a bite to eat from the onsite café or book in for a meal in the main or private dining room.
