Oceania 2024 Meadowbank “Move in Package” Promotion
1. Subject to the terms and conditions set out below, Eligible Claimants are entitled to a Move In Package (“Package”) from Oceania Village Company Limited (“Oceania”) up to a maximum value of $10,000.00 (“Package Amount”) when purchasing a licence to occupy for an apartment at Meadowbank (“Meadowbank”) pursuant to an Occupation Right Agreement (“ORA”).
2. The Package may comprise of:
a. A contribution towards relocation services to be provided by a provider nominated by Oceania;
b. A contribution towards a session with Retirement Moving who can provide decluttering, interior design and related advice;
c. A contribution towards the Eligible Claimant’s legal costs relating to the signing of the ORA, up to the value of $1,000.00.
3. To be eligible for the Package, the following criteria must be met:
a. The claimant must submit an application to Oceania for the occupation of an independent living apartment (“Apartment”) at Meadowbank (“Application”);
b. The Application must be submitted on or before 15th November 2024;
c. The Application must be accepted by Oceania; and
d. The claimant must settle their ORA and pay to Oceania the full Occupation Licence Payment, as set out in the Application, by 28th February 2025.
Claimants who meet these criteria will be “Eligible Claimants”.
4. Eligible Claimants may choose which elements of the Package they wish to receive, up to the total value of $10,000. For example, Eligible Claimants may wish to use the full Package Amount on relocation services. The Eligible Claimant must submit invoices to Oceania with proof of spend. The Package Amount (or part thereof spent) will be paid to the Eligible Claimant by bank transfer within 10 business days of the date on which they settle their ORA for the Apartment and pay the Occupation Licence Payment in full. The Eligible Claimant will need to provide all relevant information as required by Oceania in order for this payment to be made, including any requirements to comply with any statutory requirements.
5. Only one Package is available per Apartment. If two Eligible Claimants settle an ORA together as joint residents or tenants in common then one Package will be paid to them jointly.
6. The Package Amount does not reduce the Occupation Licence Payment (as that term is defined in the ORA) for the Apartment.
7. The Package Amount does not affect the Deferred Management Fee (as that term is defined in the ORA) payable for the Apartment.
8. An Eligible Claimant must pay back the value of the Package Amount to Oceania in the following circumstances:
a. if they cancel their ORA during the cooling off period (set out in clause 7.2 of the ORA); or
b. if they cancel their ORA in accordance with the 90 Day Right Place Guarantee (set out in clause 7.3 of the ORA); or
c. if their ORA terminates for any reason within 4 months of the Commencement Date (as defined in the ORA).
The repayment of the Package Amount to Oceania must be made within 10 working days of termination or the cancellation of the ORA. Oceania will be entitled to deduct the repayment of the Package Amount from any payment due to the Eligible Claimant as a result of such cancellation or termination if it has not been repaid on or before the date Oceania is required to make payment to the Eligible Claimant in accordance with the ORA.
9. This offer is not transferable, assignable or exchangeable.
10. Oceania is not liable for any damages or claims whatsoever arising from an Eligible Claimant’s participation in this promotion.
11. Oceania’s collection, use and disclosure of personal information for this promotion is subject to the Oceania’s Privacy Policy (available at https://oceaniahealthcare.co.nz/privacy-policy) and is incorporated into these terms and conditions.
12. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
